About this book
A Translation of the New Testament from the original Greek is credited to Thomas Haweis. The contents list a title page, a preface, the books Matthew and Mark, Revelations and Footnotes, among others, with chapter numbers for the books. The text gives the names of the twelve apostles, the first being Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, with James son of Zebedee and John his brother.
The text says Jesus sent forth these twelve, commanding them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter not. A man addressed as Cornelius saw in a vision, evidently about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming to him. A chapter headed THE REVELATION OF JOHN THE THEOLOGIAN says it is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to shew to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass.
