The writer says they sailed at the rate of one mile in two hours and reached Figuera’s Bay at the end of eight days. The writer tells of an exchange of his baggage-horse for another, which he found could eat as much as it could carry, so that he was forced to put it on half allowance. The writer says that some columns from the enemy’s left were seen in motion towards Hugamont and were soon warmly engaged with the right of the army.
