About this book

America's War for Humanity is a work by Thomas Herbert Russell. The book carries the words LaFayette, we are here, credited to General Pershing, and an official story of American operations in France by General John J. Pershing, Commander-in-Chief. The text says German propaganda and German money in Mexico raised on our southern border a threatening spectre of war.

One page says the policy of our Government saved us from falling into a trap that might have held us fast while Germany overran the whole of Europe. The text reports that the newest type of submarine torpedo is 100 per cent efficient and that the torpedo net of steel that used to be the ship's defense against torpedoes is now useless. A Paris correspondent just from the front says the spirit of American soldiers passing through casualty stations is admirable.
