A Collection of Farces and Other Afterpieces, Which Are Acted at the Theatres Royal, Drury-Lane, Covent

A Collection of Farces and Other Afterpieces is a multi-volume anthology of the short comic plays of the Georgian theatre, selected and edited by Elizabeth Inchbald (1753-1821), the actress, playwright, and novelist who was also the leading dramatic editor of her generation. The anthology is a primary source for the performance culture of the eighteenth-century London stage. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
