Cyclopedia of Commerce, Accountancy, Business Administration, Volume 2, is a general reference work on accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, commercial law and business management, among other subjects, by the American School of Correspondence. The work is described as prepared by a corps of auditors, accountants, attorneys, and specialists in business methods and management, in ten volumes. A section headed Special Quotations says every purchasing agent receives, in addition to published price lists, many special quotations on material and supplies in which he is interested.

The text says the balance of the manufacturing account represents the cost of work still in process and should agree with an actual inventory of work in process. Two figures in the text are captioned Journal Showing Adjusting Entries. A section headed Unbalanced Bids assumes, for purposes of illustration, a contractor who desires to bid on public work involving the removal of 100,000 cubic yards of earthwork and 50,000 cubic yards of rock work.
