About this book
Epistles from Pap collects letters from the man known as 'The Will Rogers of Indiana'. A note says Andrew Durham was a Hoosier attorney and state senator during the twenties. One letter says "For smoking the penalty is five hours hard walking." and "If we wear a dirty collar we have to walk an hour."
Another letter, dated Upper Alton, Ill. April 6, 1899, is addressed Dear Mother and says that after going to so much trouble to get a declamation it is not going to do any good. A piece headed HOW TO SELL, dated March 27, 1945, is "A letter to all the children away from home." A letter says the National Public Service Commission Convention for this summer at French Lick has been called-off by unanimous consent.
