About this book
Fifty-Two Story Talks to Boys and Girls is a book by Howard J. Chidley. The foreword says no department of Christian literature is of more importance for the future of the Church than that which seeks to enlist the children in the service of Christ. The book says many parents seem to assume that the child's brain is lying dormant during those first few years, when the child's mind during these years is most receptive.
The book tells of a girl who once said to her mother, who was always finding something good instead of bad to say of people, “Mother, I believe you would have something good to say of the devil.” A story in the book has the trees ask the bramble to accept the position, and the bramble gladly agrees.
