Food for the Lambs; or, Helps for Young Christians is a book by Chas. E. Orr. The preface lists, among others, selections from other writers called Spiritual Declension, Seek First the Kingdom of God and Stirring the Eagle's Nest. The preface says that although the book is written to young Christians, it may do some good to older saints.
The text says the plant in the first few days of its existence is very tender and delicate, and that what is true in the plant and the animal world is also true in the spiritual world. Under the heading Victory, the text says that when you are forgotten or neglected, or purposely set at naught, and you smile inwardly, glorying in the insult or the oversight, because thereby counted worthy to suffer with Christ, that is victory. A piece headed Eternity asks whether you ever attempted to look to the end of eternity.
