Frank Merriwell's Cruise is by Burt L. Standish, and Chapter I is titled The Meeting in Boston. A message invites Mr. John Diamond to join the sender for a cruise in down East waters at the American Hotel, Boston, saying that a yacht has been purchased and that Hodge and Browning will be in the party. Jack Diamond is reclining in a hammock when a boy hands him the message from Frank Merriwell.
Inza tells Frank that she upset the boat intentionally to settle the point, and that his swimming to Elsie's rescue was the test. A dinner at the hotel is given to the baseball boys by Landlord Drayben, with speeches and toasts and cheers for Merriwell. A chapter titled Off for Bar Harbor describes a boat containing four lads that pushed out from Fish Market Wharf and pulled down Camden harbor toward the yachts anchored in Dillingham's Cove.
