About this book
Against Heresies, Volume 4, completes the anti-Gnostic work of Irenaeus of Lyon (c.130-c.202), the early Church Father and bishop. The 1885 Ante-Nicene Fathers translation gathers his closing arguments on the unity of the Old and New Testaments and the resurrection of the body, against Gnostic rejection of the material world. Irenaeus stands among the most influential theologians of the early Church. The complete work is a primary source for second-century Christianity. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
