About this book
Against Heresies, Volume 2, continues the great anti-Gnostic work of Irenaeus of Lyon (c.130-c.202), bishop and early Church Father. In the 1885 Ante-Nicene Fathers translation, this volume develops his philosophical and scriptural arguments against the Gnostic systems of Valentinus and others. Irenaeus insists on one God and the unity of creation against Gnostic dualism. The work is a foundational text of early Christian theology. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
