About this book

Irish Historical Allusions, Curious Customs and Superstitions gathers the folklore and antiquarian lore of Ireland collected by Patrick Foley, a local historian of County Kerry. The book preserves the customs, sayings, beliefs, and historical traditions of the Irish countryside in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Such collections are valued sources for the folk culture of pre-modern Ireland. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
