About this book
The title page reads KEEP HAPPY BY EUSTACE MILES, M.A. The foreword says that on the writer's Fiftieth Birthday, Sunday, September 22, 1918, he starts to spend a few hours before the evening meal writing down some ideas that may help others. The writer says that Larson offers capital ideas on the mental side but does not tell people how to be glad, and leaves out all the Physical Helps. The writer says that in this little Birthday offering he shall include a few Physical as well as Mental Helps.
A section headed Why Keep Happy? A Contrast asks readers to think, before reading further, what happens when one keeps the opposite of happy. The text says self-suggestion is feasible at all times and in all places, and that it is unobtrusive. The text says keeping happy means living in the higher part of the mind, where the air and light and warmth are greater.
