Later by Stephen King is one of his shorter recent novels, a coming of age horror story about a boy who can see and speak to the recently dead. The book is set in present day New York and reads at a sharp pace.

King is unusually controlled in this novel. For readers who want a King book they can finish in two evenings, this is a strong choice.
