Many Lives, Many Masters is Brian L. Weiss's account of his work with a patient named Catherine, written by a psychiatrist who was then the chairman of the psychiatry department at a Miami hospital. Weiss describes how, during hypnosis sessions meant to treat her anxiety, Catherine began to recall what seemed to be memories of past lives and passed on messages from what she called the Masters. He explains how this changed his own views on therapy and on death. First published in 1988, the book is an account of his experience and has been widely read by people interested in spirituality and psychology.
