About this book
Messages to America is a book of messages by Effendi Shoghi. A message headed Message to 1935 Convention appeals to assembled delegates and the incoming National Assembly to deliberate on measures required to stimulate all local communities and groups to lend immediate, unprecedented impetus to teaching activities throughout United States and Canada. One message speaks of a separation that set in between the institutions of the Bahá’í Faith and the Islamic ecclesiastical organizations that oppose it.
One message says the gigantic Temple undertaking has been virtually consummated and the vast Intercontinental Teaching Campaign is visibly yielding first fruits in every Republic of Latin America. One message says great have been the blessings vouchsafed to this Community ever since the compelling will of a loving Master called it into being.
