About this book

'Morpho: Joint Forms and Muscular Functions' is the sixth book in the Morpho: Anatomy for Artists series. This guide is essential for artists who draw the human figure, as it presents a mechanical view of the human body.

About the author

Michel Lauricella

Teaches anatomy to artists in Paris and draws the Morpho books, which are small enough to fit in a coat pocket and dense enough to be studied for years. The approach is not medical illustration. Lauricella breaks the body into simplified volumes and shows how a form reads under motion, then adds the underlying structure only where it changes the surface.
