About this book

Natalie Diaz brings love poetry into conversation with Indigenous experience, history and the pressures of life in America. Rivers, desert plants, stones and the body recur as images through which intimacy and grief take shape. The poems connect personal relationships with land and language, considering how tenderness can coexist with inherited wounds and family distress.
