About this book

Tayi Tibble’s poems examine Indigenous womanhood through family memories, inherited stories and popular culture. Hair, beauty and representation recur as the poems move between ancestors, teenage experience and figures from mythology. The collection brings ancestral and Greek references into conversation with contemporary images, considering how identity is shaped by both intimate family history and the stories circulating around it.
