José Rizal

José Rizal was a physician, poet, writer, educator and linguist whose scholarship and literature challenged Spanish colonial rule in the Philippines. He wrote Noli Me Tangere and its sequel El Filibusterismo in Spanish, exposing colonial oppression through fiction. Charles E.
