About this book

Ruby Wax draws on her experience of depression to examine the mental pressures of contemporary life. Personal recollections and humor accompany reflections on self-criticism, emotional vulnerability, and the demands of constant activity. Her decision to study psychotherapy forms part of an effort to understand her own mind and the patterns that make daily life difficult.
