Screaming Eagles

World War II is the setting of the alternate history book “Screaming Eagles,” written by David Moody, Timothy W. Long, and Craig DiLouie. Franklin Grillo, a young infantryman in the 101st Airborne is the protagonist of the tale. He is supposed to help Baker Company repel a surprise German attack in the Ardennes Forest which is located outside of Bastogne.

The soldiers fighting along the new front are facing an army ten times larger than them, outgunned, and lacking in food, supplies, and ammunition. The German soldiers that continue to attack despite suffering severe casualties are a new menace facing the 101st. Zombie terror and historical events are compellingly combined in this book.
