Steppenwolf

This work is identified as the novel Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse ; the themes underscore the play are identity and alienation and the functioning of the human mind. They are followed by the life of Harry Haller, a man who is pulled between his Prussian aristocrat and the savage half of him. In this work Hesse begins the process of seeking ones own self, thus the author explores the individual and society, nature of man, spirituality and the path towards change.
