About this book
Leigh Hunt is the author of Stories from the Italian Poets, With Lives of the Writers, Volume 2. The contents of the second volume name Boiardo, Ariosto and Tasso, each with a critical notice of his life and genius. The contents also list titles such as Astolfo's Journey to the Moon, Ariodante and Ginevra, and Olindo and Sophronia, among others.
A critical passage says that, if Boiardo has the praise of invention to himself, Berni thoroughly appreciated and even enriched it. A tale in the text has a king lose no time in sharply investigating the truth of an allegation and, among other proceedings, send for the ladies of his daughter's chamber.
