About this book

Bertha E. Bush retells the story of Robin Hood. Its contents list seven titles, among them "Winning the Sheriff's Golden Arrow", "How Little John Joined Robin Hood", "Allen-a-Dale and Friar Tuck", "Robin Hood and the Sorrowful Knight", "Robin Hood and the King" and "Death of Robin Hood".

In one passage the boy Robin Hood says that when he is a man he will make the rich give up a portion of their wealth to the poor. Another passage says the Normans called his band highway robbers, while the common people called them the merry men of greenwood. Elsewhere the bishop of Hereford sits under guard by a huge fire where Friar Tuck and others are preparing a feast, and Robin Hood has the bishop's packs opened and the goods divided into three parts.
