About this book
Tales of Ind, and Other Poems is by T. Ramakrishna Pillai, and the book is dedicated to the memory of the writer's dear daughter Kamala. The contents list names, among others, Seeta and Rama, a tale of the Indian famine, and The Story of Prince Désing. A poem says that Seeta left her cot with her father, that her father died of hunger on the way, and that the lone creature wandered in the streets of towns from door to door, vainly begging for food.
A hunting scene names Timma, who hurled a second, which went deeper than the first, as the chase continued towards Vijiapore.
