About this book
H. G. Wells's Tales of the Unexpected has contents listing The Remarkable Case of Davidson’s Eyes, The Moth and The Story of the Late Mr Elvesham, among others. A passage says that on the very day Davidson was seized, H.M.S. Fulmar had actually been off a little rock to the south of Antipodes Island. The account calls the story of Davidson’s eyes perhaps the best authenticated case in existence of real vision at a distance.
A man asked to tell his dream says he does not remember anything clearly until he found himself sitting in a sort of loggia looking out over the sea. A man returns to his own premises in Staple Inn in a very perplexed frame of mind, at a loss to account for Mr Bessel’s conduct on any sane hypothesis.
