About this book
The Stranger concerns an alien space craft whose uncertain nature raises the question of whether to investigate or run for safety. The mining ship Emerald Girl is identified as having an Earth license and being five hundred and eighty-two days out of Arcturus Station.
Jeff wants to leave and says that the crew is neither a salvage outfit nor a Government exploration unit. The strange ship rolls slightly to one side, is pulled back by an unseen centre of gravity, and tries again with the same results. The radiation graph’s line remains straight and undisturbed when Peter comes to look at it for himself.
