Tempest and Sunshine

M.A. Nichols’ “Tempest and Sunshine” is a book in the “Victorian Love” series. Marian Wakefield, the protagonist of the tale, reveals her love to her best friend only to be rejected. This leaves her distraught, and no guy can secure her affection like he had. Her father offers her a choice as she approaches spinsterhood: find a husband on her own, or he would do it for her.

After a failed marriage, George Finch—the man who turned down Marian’s love—realizes his error. He has another chance to win Marian over before her father’s ultimatum forces her to commit herself to someone else, now that he is a widow. However, given that Marian won’t even talk to him, how can he? The themes of love, heartbreak, and second chances are all explored in this book.
