About this book
The Auchensaugh Renovation of the National Covenant and Solemn League and Covenant is a book credited to the Reformed Presbytery of North America. The heading says that the acknowledgment of sins and engagement to duties were renewed at Auchensaugh, near Douglas, on July 24, 1712. The heading adds that the renovation of these public federal deeds was ordained at Philadelphia, October 8, 1880, by the Reformed Presbytery.
The preface says that the Reformed Presbytery, at a meeting in Philadelphia, October 6th 1880, resolved that another edition of the Auchensaugh Deed be published. The text says that numberless advantages and privileges redounded to these nations by the covenants. The text refers to the Octoraro transaction, (1743,) conducted by Mr. Craighead, whom it calls an unstable minister.
