About this book
The Better Germany in War Time, by Harold W. Picton, is subtitled Being Some Facts Towards Fellowship. The dedication is to the British and the German peoples and in memory of the author's mother, who knew and loved them both. An epigraph credited to A Dream of John Ball reads, "Forsooth, brothers, fellowship is heaven, and lack of fellowship is Hell."
Mr. Page reports on Göttingen, where there were about 6,000 prisoners, and the report says the Camp Commandant, Colonel Bogen, has done everything possible to make this a model camp. A passage says a group of men in Douglas Camp would welcome the spectroscope, which was at once sent them, and the corresponding message written to Berlin.
