About this book
The Celtic Twilight by W. B. Yeats includes lines headed THE HOSTING OF THE SIDHE, in which the host is riding from Knocknarea and Niamh calls, "Away, come away." The text says that it is better doubtless to believe much unreason and a little truth than to deny for denial's sake truth and unreason alike.
The section headed MORTAL HELP reports being told that the people of faery cannot even play at hurley unless they have on either side some mortal. The man Ormsby falls sick once more, and his wife, who feels sure the gentry are coveting him, goes to call on the faery-doctor at Cairnsfoot. The text also shows a bully tying the princess where the serpent could come at her fair and easy, and going up himself to hide in the ivy-tree.
