The Eerie Book is an 1898 anthology of supernatural tales gathered by Margaret Armour (1860-1943), the Scottish writer and translator best known for her English versions of Wagner’s Ring and of Heine. She collects ghost stories and weird legends from older British and European sources, with decorative illustration in the late Victorian taste for the uncanny. Armour’s anthologies and translations carried Romantic and folk material to the turn-of-the-century reader. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
