About this book
The Ether of Space is a book by Sir Oliver Lodge. The text says that a wave theory of light is quite certainly true. The text says that if waves from the sun exist in space eight minutes before striking our eyes, there must necessarily be in space some medium in which they exist and which conveys them.
The experiment descriptions include an electrification test in which a third and insulated disk was clamped between the two steel disks and kept electrified to sparking tension. The text says that charged particles, when they move, have specific inertia, due to the magnetic field surrounding each of them.
