About this book
The Invaders is by Murray Leinster. The opening blurb says it started in Greece on the day after tomorrow, and that Coburn was buried to his ears in assorted adventures, including a revolution and an invasion from outer space. Coburn is in the village of Ardea, north of Salonika in the most rugged part of Greece, trying to get his car started.
A character named Dillon says he has some cameras up yonder and wants a picture or two of those Bulgarians. Another passage describes a Thing that came down out of the sky as glittering and mirror-like, shaped almost exactly like two turtle-shells base to base, flat and oval. In another scene Dillon tells Coburn: You know we aren't natives of Earth.
