The Jokers

The biggest joker in the group is the government, represented by the predatory, bug-eyed governor of an undisclosed Middle Eastern city. Free-spirited characters like Karim, Omar, Heykal, and Urfy are introduced in this effervescent comedy by Albert Cossery. These characters devise a perfect scheme to infuse subversive humor into public life. But as the story progresses, they’re all in for a joke.
