About this book

Ginn Hale's The Long Past & Other Stories is a fascinating anthology of steampunk and historical fantasy stories. The stories, which take place in 1858 take place in a reimagined Old West where wizards at war have created a huge inland sea that has divided the country in two. Creatures from a bygone era arrive with the floodwaters, upending convention, the law, and even death.

Among the cast are a sly trapper and an experienced mage on a covert mission, an intelligent magician and her robotic sidekick, and a poor young guy collaborating with a Pinkerton Detective to outwit corruption. This creative anthology promises enchantment, adventure, and surprising alliances.
