About this book

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari is a self-help book by Robin Sharma, written as a business fable and drawn from his own experience after he left a career as a litigation lawyer at the age of 25. It was first published in 1997 and reissued in 1999.

Julian Mantle is a successful trial lawyer whose punishing life ends in a heart attack in the courtroom. He sells his possessions, including his Ferrari, and travels to India, where he learns from a community of sages in the Himalayas. On his return he passes on the principles he learned, which cover mastering the mind, living with purpose, discipline, respect for time and serving others.
