About this book
The Moon Princess is described as A Fairy Tale by Edith Ogden Harrison. The contents list includes chapters called How the Moon Princess Came to the Earth, The Rainbow Sisters and How the Sun Prince Rescued the Moon Princess, among others. The title page says the book has illustrations in color and other drawings by Lucy Fitch Perkins.
Ethelda looks down and sees a shimmering ladder of moonlight stretching to the Earth. The Sun Prince's knights, one hundred of them in trappings of gold, and Ethelda's maidens in dresses of whitest silver take part in a wedding march to the Earth. A valley of yellow stones and brilliant lights and rushing waters is said to be left to the Sun Princess and her people. The text says the Moon Princess had disappeared from the face of the Earth completely.
