The Prosperity of Humankind is a statement of the Baha'i International Community. A message says that the Bahá’í International Community’s Office of Public Information was requested to prepare a statement on the concept of global prosperity in the context of the Bahá’í Teachings. The statement says that to an extent unimaginable a decade ago, the ideal of world peace is taking on form and substance.
The statement quotes Bahá’u’lláh’s counsel: No power can exist except through unity, and no welfare and no well-being can be attained except through consultation. The statement says that the tasks entailed in the development of a global society call for levels of capacity far beyond anything the human race has so far been able to muster.
