About this book
The Sources of Religious Insight, by Josiah Royce, belongs to The Bross Library as Volume VI, The Bross Lectures, 1911. The speaker says that, since the inquiry concerns the Sources of Religious Insight, the speaker will not undertake to present any extended system of religious doctrine. The speaker is to make some comments upon the ways in which religious truths can become accessible to men.
The speaker adds that if hearers are believers, it matters little, for the present purpose, to what household of the faith they belong. The speaker names certain respects in which the speaker fully agrees with recent pragmatism, including that every opinion expresses an attitude of the will, a preparedness for action. The speaker points out that the life of the visible church stands related to the higher religious life of mankind as part to whole.
