About this book
The Yankee Tea-party carries the subtitle "Or, Boston in 1773". At one gathering, a fifer and a drummer of the continental army, old Jacob Brown and old Samuel Hanson, occasionally stirred the hearts and fired the eyes of the company. Mr. Kinnison, though not the oldest man of the company, looked as if he had seen the hardest service.
One passage says Plunkett had three strong claims in his favour. The text says that woman's wit is never at a loss for contrivances, while swayed by the influences of love or benevolence. One account of the battle of the Cowpens says a man trembled for the fate of the day and kneeled in an old tree-top in the woods in the rear.
