About this book
The New Psychology Series by William Walker Atkinson lists The Will, Memory, The Psychology of Success, The Art of Logical Thinking and Thought-Culture, among others. The great difference between thought as we find it in man, and its forms among the lower animals lies in what psychologists have called progressive thought, according to the text. The animals advance but little in their thinking processes but rest content with those of their ancestors, the text says.
Halleck is quoted as saying that nature is constantly using her power to kill off the thoughtless, or to cripple them in life's race. A System of Analysis, designed for the use of students desiring to acquire correct associations, is said to have been given in the volume of this series entitled Memory. Halleck is also quoted as saying that since the imagination has not the miraculous power necessary to create something out of nothing, the first essential thing is to get the proper perceptional material in proper quantity.
