“Touching the Void” is an interesting memoir by Joe Simpson, which recounts the harrowing and near-fatal experience he and his climbing partner, Simon Yates, endured after ascending the 6,344-meter peak Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes. The book has since sold over a million copies and has been translated into over 20 languages.
