White Walls

Lauren Hammond’s second book in the Asylum series is titled “White Walls.” Adelaide Carmichael, the main character, is being transported to The Oakhill Institution to recover since she is aware that she has gone insane. She soon discovers, though, that the institution is not what it first appears to be.

Patients are fed sedatives like mashed potatoes, electric currents hum through the plaster walls, and patients wander the halls like zombies. Adelaide decides she would stop at nothing to get away and sets out to accomplish so. This book takes readers on an exciting journey through Adelaide’s fight for liberty and happiness.
