Barbara Theodosiou wrote a book titled “Without Shame: The Addict’s Mom and Her Family Share Their Stories of Pain and Healing.” With its unique perspective on the core of a national catastrophe, the book examines the suffering, loss, and connection that result from addiction, trauma, codependency, and the process of recovery. It includes the narratives of Daniel and Peter, Barbara’s boys, as well as those of their sister Nicole and other frequently ignored voices. The book offers a full point of view on the true meaning of the term “family disease” about addiction. The first edition of the book was published on February 25, 2020.
