Arun Mitra

Arun Mitra (1909-2000) was a renowned Indian poet, writer, and journalist, who wrote in Bengali and English. Born in Kolkata, India, he started his career as a journalist before turning to poetry and literature.

Arun Mitra’s poetry is characterized by its lyrical quality and social commentary and often deals with themes of love, nature, and human relationships. Some of his most famous books include “Khunjtey Khunjtey Eto Door,” “Ei Amrito Ei Garol,” and ” Andhokaar Jatokkhon Jegey.” In addition to his poetry, Mitra also wrote essays and articles on politics, culture, and society.
