Enakshi Chattopadhyay was born in 1934, she was a popularly known Bengali writer and translator. She was born in British India's Bihar, Patna, she was born In a family of lawyers. Her father's name is Basontokumar Bandapadhyay and her mother's name is Parul Bandapadhyay.She was a professor in Kolkata for some time. On the year 1958 after getting the Fullbright Travelling Scholarship she went to America and got her citizenship there in three years.She had a large part in making the Bangla science fiction genre more modern.
