Jayanta Sarkar

Jayanta Sarkar has been known since the Lalit Kala, the Center for Art and Culture was born in 1951, out of the passion and dedication of a few individuals – Sri Nirmal Sarkar, his wife Smt. Anjali Sarkar, Sri Durga Sen and Sri Adair Bagchi. It was then based in Ahiritola in North Kolkata.

He has a degree holder from Rabindra Bharati University and has trained under Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty. During his long stint with the Doordarshan (1981-2014)
