Alice Harriman

Alice Harriman (1861-1925) was an American poet, novelist, and publisher who worked in Seattle and later New York. She founded the Alice Harriman Company in 1907, and a 1911 regional who's-who called her the only woman publisher in the world at the time. Her other work includes the Yellowstone tale "Chaperoning Adrienne," illustrated by cowboy artist Charles M. Russell. She kept a lasting interest in the American West and the Pacific Northwest.
